PENN VIEW ART CENTER

Penn View Art Center, founded in 1976, was a nonprofit cultural and educational institution. It was dedicated to the creation and appreciation of the arts and crafts.
In 2007 Sister Edith Nemeth, its Director, suffered a series of strokes and was hospitalized several times.  After many sessions of therapy she has now resigned herself to not being able to use her right hand and walk with strength.  It has been a very difficult time for her, especially now that her beloved Art Center building was in sad disrepair and structurally not safe any more.
In April of 2008 the sad task of having it torn down and watched day by day but we have not given up on Sister Edith.
Her ability to share her art is being able to talk about it and show some of her art pieces that are stored in a lodge near the Art Center property.
We sincerely hope you will come and visit Sister and give her words of your own life experiences with illnesses.    Sharing our pain lightens the load we carry.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL
FROM SISTER EDITH NEMETH
AND THE SISTERS OF THE DIVINE REDEEMER

The design is an incomplete cross to illustrate Colossians 1:24
“… I am filling up what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ”.

The two intertwined circles indicate the humanity and divinity of our Redeemer. “
Our lives, too, can be grounded and sustained only in redemptive suffering and in his resurrection” (C. 4).
